Fermentation & Baking
8–12 sprigs of fresh rosemary
750 ml (24.4 fl oz) distilled white vinegar
Sterile 1000 ml (33.9 fl oz) glass bottle with lid
Spray bottle
Measuring jug or scale
Funnel (optional but helpful)
Use only distilled white vinegar for best results and shelf stability.
Choose fresh rosemary — organic or pesticide-free preferred.
Let the mixture infuse for at least 2 weeks before using.
Avoid metal lids, as vinegar can corrode them — use glass or plastic.
Boil the glass bottle or rinse it with boiling water to sterilize. Let it cool.
Insert 8–12 clean, dry rosemary sprigs into the bottle.
Using a funnel, pour 750 ml (or 24.4 oz) of distilled vinegar into the bottle, covering the herbs.
Seal the bottle and place it in a cool, dark place (like a cupboard) for 2–3 weeks. Shake occasionally.
Once ready, mix 2 parts rosemary vinegar with 3 parts water in a spray bottle.
Spray directly onto bathroom surfaces — mirrors, faucets, glass doors — and wipe with a cloth.
Mother vinegar (undiluted) lasts 6+ months at room temperature.
Diluted spray mix is best used within 1 month.
Store both in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
No refrigeration needed.
