Frequently asked questions

Q: Can I make these without essential oil?

A: Yes! Dried rosemary alone gives a gentle scent. However, essential oil helps boost the fragrance, especially in larger spaces.

Q: How long do these pouches last?

A: The scent usually lasts 2–3 months, depending on the strength of your blend and where you use it. They last longer in closed drawers or suitcases.

Q: Where should I put these pouches?

A: They're ideal for drawers, linen closets, shoes, handbags, gym lockers, or car glove compartments. Avoid damp areas unless you include rice or baking soda.

Q: Can I reuse the pouches?

A: Absolutely! Just empty, wash, and refill them with a new herb blend as needed.

Q: Are rosemary pouches safe for pets?

A: Generally, yes—when used as air fresheners. Just keep them out of reach of curious chewers, especially dogs and cats sensitive to strong scents.

Directions

Simply follow these steps in order to make (fill in titel):

Prepare Your Ingredients:
Make sure your rosemary is fully dried. You can use your own (see our guide on how to dry rosemary properly) or store-bought dried rosemary.

Mix Your Blend:
In a bowl, combine:

2 tbsp dried rosemary

1 tbsp of optional add-ins like lavender, cloves, or citrus peel

1 tbsp rice or baking soda
Add 5–10 drops of rosemary essential oil for extra fragrance and stir gently.

Fill Your Pouches:
Use a spoon or funnel to fill each pouch with about 2–3 tbsp of your blend. Tie it shut tightly or close the drawstring.

Label and Place:
Add a tag or ribbon if giving as a gift, then place your pouch in a closet, drawer, shoe rack, car, gym bag, or under your pillow.

Storage

  • Keep extra filled pouches in an airtight container or glass jar until needed.

  • Refresh the scent every 2–3 months by adding a few extra drops of essential oil.

  • If the herbs lose fragrance after 4–6 months, empty and refill with a new blend.
