Ingredients & Tools

Ingredients

  • 200 ml/6.8 oz apple juice
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • fresh rosemary, one branch
  • fresh thyme, two little branches
  • 50 ml/1.7 oz water
  • Sparkling water
  • Ice cubes

Tools

  • small pot

Useful guidelines

Make sure you don’t boil the sirup too long as it will turn bitter from the rosemary otherwise.

Furthermore ensure that the sirup really cools down all the way and that your ingredients are nice and cold to get the full fresh sparkling experience from this Apple Rosemary Spritz.

Directions

Simply follow these steps in order to make Apple Rosemary Spritz:

Step 1:

To make the infused sirup, add rosemary, thyme, honey and the water to a little pot and put on the stove. Simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.

Step 2:

Set the sirup aside to cool down completely.

Step 3:

Once the sirup has cooled down, add a shot (20 ml/0.7 oz) of the sirup to a glass and introduce 50 ml/1.7oz of fresh apple juice and a twig of fresh rosemary. Top with cold sparkling water and some ice cubes. Enjoy!

Storage

Enjoy fresh as a sparkling treat. The sirup can be made in advance and keeps well in the fridge for a few days.
