Making a Fresh Ginger-Lemon Shot

Ingredients

  • ginger, about 5 cm
  • 100 ml lemon juice  
  • 100 ml water
  • 1 heaped tbsp honey
  • optional: lemon verbena

Tools

  • measuring cup
  • hand blender
  • sieve
  • spoon

Useful guidelines

In order to get most beneficial properties from you ginger be sure to really blend it well. The more the better! 

Directions

Simply follow these steps in order to make fresh Ginger-Lemon Shot:

Step 1:

Peel the ginger with a spoon by simply scraping the peel off.

Step 2:

Roughly chop the ginger and add to the measuring cup.

Step 3:

Squeeze the lemons and add the juice to the ginger.

Step 4:

Add the water and blend everything together with a hand blender until the ginger has fully turned into a pulp.

Step 5:

Lastly add in a big tablespoon of honey and blend again to dissolve the honey.

Step 6:

Strain through a sieve and enjoy!

Storage

Keeps well for 2-3 days in the fridge, but it’s best enjoyed fresh.
 
PRO TIP: 
Infuse the fresh ginger -lemon shot with some lemon verbena after straining. Simply add a few fresh leaves and let it sit for a bit before serving.
