2-DAY COURSE PROGRAM
Day 1: Understanding Regenerative Agriculture
Morning Session (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM):
- Introduction to Regenerative Agriculture: Principles and benefits
- Soil Health Workshop: Understanding soil types, testing soil, and improving soil fertility
- Composting 101: Creating and managing compost for nutrient-rich soil
Lunch Break (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM):
- Organic, farm-to-table lunch sourced from the farm.
Afternoon Session (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM):
- Crop Planning: Planning for year-round harvest and maintaining soil health
- Hands-on Activity: Create your own goals and limitations worksheet for your (future) garden
Wrap-Up (4:00 PM – 4:30 PM):
- Q&A session and review of Day 1 learnings.
Day 2: Practical Skills and Advanced Techniques
Morning Session (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM):
- Pest and Disease Management: Natural methods to protect your plants (1 hour)
- Water Conservation Techniques: Effective irrigation and rainwater harvesting (1 hour)
- Hands-on Activity: Building a No-dig garden bed from scratch. (1 hour)
Lunch Break (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM):
- Organic, farm-to-table meal.
Afternoon Session (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM):
- Advanced Plant Care: Seed choice and seedling care (1.5 hour)
- Harvesting Techniques: When and how to harvest for maximum yield (1.5 hour)
- Hands-on Activity: Time saving techniques and tools in the garden (1 hour)
Wrap-Up and Certification (5:00 PM – 5:30 PM):
- Q&A, feedback session, and distribution of certificates of completion.
